Rugosa Pericolosa 2g By Ensar Oud
Rosa rugosa wasn’t made for gardens. It naturally grew where nothing else would – coastal sand, salt flats, the edges of things. The blooms are oversized, the thorns are serious, and the scent is nothing like the roses perfumery domesticated. Fruity, overripe, almost fermented.
Dangerous.
The composition follows the flower. Rugosa absolute at the center – dense, jammy, that characteristic sweetness with a tart edge before it tips into excess. Somalian frankincense (cruder, darker, redder than Omani luban) to add some rough zest, and Koh Kong incense to push the fruitiness into darker territory. All of it drenched in a trio of in-house infusions: Musk Mitti, Musk Gulab, and Musk Motia.
This is not a rose for apologies.
